Yelena Boxer and Gregory J. Phillips Named Vice-Chairs of Benesch’s Litigation Practice Group

Benesch is pleased to announce that it has named partners Yelena Boxer and Gregory J. Phillips as Vice-Chairs of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group.
Chair of the Litigation Practice Group and Vice-Chair of the firm, Joseph A. Castrodale, said, “Both Yelena and Greg are outstanding litigators who consistently get great results in complex litigation of all kinds. They also possess great leadership skills and they are very well deserving of these new roles.”
Ms. Boxer concentrates her practice on complex commercial litigation. She represents publicly traded companies and private small businesses in state and federal jurisdictions nationally. She is experienced in resolving disputes involving intellectual property, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, general tort, real estate, products liability, insurance, construction, employment, securities, probate and elections matters. Ms. Boxer was selected by her peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America® in Commercial Litigation and Litigation – Labor & Employment. Ms. Boxer received her B.A., magna cum laude, from Miami University and her J.D., magna cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University.
Mr. Phillips litigates all aspects of complex business and commercial cases for public and private companies and individuals. He has argued successfully before the Ohio Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Mr. Phillips was selected by his peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America® in the Commercial Litigation field. Mr. Phillips received his A.B., magna cum laude, from Princeton University and his J.D. from University of Virginia School of Law.
Both Ms. Boxer and Mr. Phillips have been identified by Benchmark Litigation 2015 as future “State Litigation Stars,” defined as attorneys who are recommended consistently as reputable and effective litigators by clients and peers. Both were also named 2016 Ohio Super Lawyers.
Although both will have prominent roles in managing the firm’s Litigation Group, the largest practice group at the firm, Ms. Boxer’s primary focus in this role will be on service innovation, increasing the diversity of the group and further promoting the group’s external and community relations. Mr. Phillips will be focused on growth strategies and increasing quality of client service.
Eric L Zalud (Cleveland) will continue as Associate Chair of the Litigation Practice Group. Michael J. Barrie (Wilmington), John F. Stock (Columbus) and Robert A. Zimmerman (Cleveland) will remain Vice-Chairs of the Group.
