Overview
Abby has extensive experience managing complex commercial disputes from start to finish, focusing on successful outcomes that align with her clients’ business goals. Her diverse practice encompasses a wide range of matters, including breach of contract, fraud, and corporate veil piercing issues, across federal and state courts, and in private arbitrations.
Abby’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, including contract disputes and business torts, along with transportation and logistics-related claims. Abby applies her oral advocacy skills and alternative dispute resolution expertise to champion clients in hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations. She also has substantial experience with managing electronic discovery. Beyond her litigation practice, Abby has experience in regulatory compliance of air carriers, motor carriers, brokers, and freight forwarders.
Her experience spans information technology, food and beverage, and cannabis industries, where she has developed deep insight into how disputes uniquely impact day to day business operations. Abby approaches each matter with empathy, grit, and innovation. Clients value her efficiency, clear communication, and practical, business-focused strategy.
Abby currently serves on Benesch’s Hiring Committee and previously served as co-chair of the firm’s Associate Development Committee’s Events and Culture subcommittee.

Experience
As special counsel to the Ohio Attorney General, and lead private counsel for Ohio University, won a complete defense victory for Ohio University in a case stemming from the death of a student at an off-campus property. Set statewide precedent regarding statutory duties, as well as wrongful death and negligence claims owed by schools and universities.
Represented a Fortune 100 technology company in a ten-figure dispute with a Fortune 100 supplier, where the supplier repeatedly breached supply agreements and wrongfully threatened to withhold products unless the company paid millions more than what was required under the agreements.
While maintaining her firm practice full time, completed three tenures of a secondment role with a Fortune 100 technology company’s commercial litigation team. Managed outside counsel engagements, including coordinating claim strategy, discovery, and case updates to ensure alignment with company’s business objectives, risk tolerance, and budget. Primary responsibility for evaluating and responding to employee and contractor data exfiltration events, collaborating with additional business units to mitigate risk.
