Overview
Jason Dirkx serves as Benesch’s Chief Innovation Officer, leading the firm’s Innovation Department and advancing the transformation of legal service delivery. He partners with firm leadership, practice groups and business operations teams to redesign how legal work is planned, delivered and experienced, aligning practice workflows, technology, knowledge management and data governance with the evolving needs of the legal market.
Jason began his career as a software developer before turning to law, and has spent more than 15 years at the intersection of legal practice, technology, AI and product development at leading Am Law 100 firms. He has built and scaled legal technology products, launched an award-winning legal technology venture and led high-performing innovation teams. He brings extensive experience in practice transformation, product strategy, change management and technology adoption, helping to streamline legal workflows and improve operational effectiveness.
A published author and frequent speaker on legal product development and knowledge management, Jason brings a human-centered lens to his work, grounded in the conviction that transformation succeeds or stalls on trust, change management and sustained engagement rather than on the solutions themselves.
