Lily focuses her practice on intellectual property prosecution and counseling.
Lily's work includes the preparation and prosecution of utility and design patents in the U.S. and abroad. In addition, she provides analysis on clearance, patentability, and patent landscape opinions. Lily has also assisted in advising clients on IP protection and portfolio management.
Lily has worked with a diverse group of clients including small businesses, universities, large companies, foreign law firms, as well as individual inventors through the USPTO Patent Pro Bono Program. She has experience working with clients in a wide array of areas, such as consumer products, pharmaceutical, entertainment, apparel, medical devices, automotive.
Prior to joining Benesch, Lily was an associate at a large international law firm. She has a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing and design engineering and experience working as a design and process engineer. Lily’s background in all aspects of product design informs her work with design rights.
