Overview

Sammi focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts across the country, including matters of defamation, breach of contract, and trade secret misappropriation.

Sammi represents clients in a broad range of disputes through all phases of litigation. In her defamation practice, Sammi has represented high-profile individuals and large corporations in all stages of defamation disputes, from sending cease and desist letters and retraction demands to litigating defamation lawsuits. Sammi is currently part of the team representing a voting machine company in multiple lawsuits stemming from defamatory statements about the company after the 2020 U.S. Presidential election, including a $2.7 billion lawsuit against Fox News.  Sammi also has experience representing corporations in breach of contract and trade secret disputes against former employees.

Sammi currently sits on Benesch’s Hiring Committee and the Women’s Initiative Internal Programming subcommittee. Sammi also serves on the Young Leadership Division Board of the Jewish United Fund (JUF) in Chicago.
