Benesch is pleased to announce that Matthew Langhorst has joined the firm’s Corporate Practice Group as of counsel in its Columbus office. A recognized deal maker with more than a decade of experience, Matt advises private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies throughout the full life cycle of their investments, helping clients align deal terms with long-term investor objectives, maintain deal momentum and achieve favorable outcomes.

In his practice, Matt represents clients in sponsor-backed mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, including platform acquisitions, add-on transactions and sell-side auction processes. He also advises on specialized fund formations, with substantial experience in complex equity capitalization structures, funds flows and waterfalls. His experience spans a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, education, manufacturing and professional services.
Prior to joining Benesch, Matt served as of counsel at Winston & Strawn. He earned his J.D. from The University of Michigan Law School and a B.A. in Political Science from The Ohio State University.
