Megan C. Parker, an attorney in Benesch’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, was featured in the American Bar Association’s June/July 2025 Landslide Magazine issue, Ethics, Efficiency, and Equity in IP. Her article is titled, “U.S. Supreme Court Rules No Time Bar on Recovery of Copyright Damages, Leaves Accrual Question on Repeat.”
In her article, Megan examines the Supreme Court’s Warner Chappell decision, which allows recovery of copyright damages beyond three years prior to filing and leaves unresolved whether the “injury rule” or “discovery rule” governs claim accrual. Her article outlines the ruling’s implications and the key questions that will continue to shape copyright litigation.
