Adriana Beach Quoted in American Banker on Rising Popularity of “Vibe Coding”
June 27, 2025
Adriana Beach, Of Counsel in Benesch’s Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice Group, was quoted in American Banker in an article exploring the rise of “vibe coding” and its implications for the financial sector. As vibe coding gains traction, Beach cautioned that banks must take several precautions. She pointed to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), a federal law that requires financial institutions to disclose their information-sharing practices and protect sensitive consumer data.
“Banks could start with GLBA but would have to move beyond that and provide another comprehensive privacy policy… that says some of our services and enhancements are going to be done through the use of vibe coding, and be really, really clear about that,” Beach said.
