Benesch Attorney Juan Morado Jr. Named to Chicago Lawyer and Chicago Daily Law Bulletin’s “40 Under Forty” List
September 23, 2019
Benesch is pleased to announce that Juan Morado, Jr. has been honored by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and Chicago Lawyer as one of their 2019 “40 Under Forty Illinois Attorneys to Watch” list.
The Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and Chicago Lawyer have published the 40 Under Forty list for the past 20 years. The list recognizes up-and-coming attorneys across Chicago and the state of Illinois. These individuals are nominated by their peers and chosen by the publications’ selection committee for their intelligence, passion, success, and work in the community.
Morado is a health care regulatory and policy attorney with extensive experience in working with state and federal agencies, and providing strategic counsel to private and public corporations, organizations, and individuals. As the former General Counsel to the Illinois CON Board, Morado has years of experience before the Illinois CON Board. He has represented hospital systems and physician groups in the establishment of new hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and large scale acquisitions of healthcare facilities that require change of ownership approval from the CON Board. He also advises hospitals, health systems, physician groups, consulting firms, pharmacies, and other clients, helping them to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and implement industry best practices.
“We are proud to see Juan in such distinguished company on this list. As we continue to build our Chicago office, we are assembling a team of talented, dynamic lawyers whose energy reflects that of our clients and their customers, as well as the broader Chicago community,” said Gregg Eisenberg, Benesch’s Managing Partner. “Juan exemplifies that energy. He not only is exceptionally well-versed in healthcare public policy and regulatory affairs, but he also maintains commitments to numerous community and bar organizations. Juan is truly a great addition to the list.”
In June 2018, Morado was elected president of the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois (HLAI). The HLAI is an Affiliate of the Hispanic National Bar Association, a nonpartisan, national membership organization that represents the interests of Hispanic legal professionals in the United States and its territories. Additionally, Juan is a board member for the Medical Organization of Latino Advancement (MOLA), ASPIRA Inc. of Illinois, and the We CAN Achieve Foundation. He also serves as Chair of the Latino Leadership Council and on the Teatro Vista Honorary Board.
