Benesch Named to U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 Best Companies to Work For
February 19, 2025
Benesch, one of the fastest-growing firms on the Am Law 200 list, is pleased to announce that the firm has been named to U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 Best Companies to Work For: Law Firms list for the second year in a row. This ranking evaluates how well law firms meet the needs and expectations of their employees compared to competitors. Benesch is among 232 U.S. law firms that achieved high enough scores across six key factors to be recognized.
With an industry-leading lateral retention rate, this recognition underscores Benesch’s ongoing commitment to cultivating a positive, high-performing workplace where attorneys and professional staff can build rewarding careers.
“At Benesch, we are committed to fostering a culture where our team feels supported, valued and celebrated,” said Benesch Chief Human Resources Officer Liz Gillmore. “Being recognized as one of U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 Best Companies to Work For is a meaningful honor, reflecting our team’s belief that Benesch is not just a great place to work but an exceptional place to grow and succeed together.”
The Best Companies to Work For: Law Firms list assesses law firms based on publicly available employee sentiment and other data, evaluating six key factors: quality of pay and benefits, work-life balance, job stability, physical and psychological comfort, sense of belonging, and professional development opportunities
This honor follows Benesch recently being named to Newsweek’s 2024 list of Most Loved Workplaces in America and Benesch Managing Partner Gregg Eisenberg being recognized on the 2024 Top Most Loved CEO’s list by BPI.
“There are a multitude of factors that inform a person’s career decisions no matter the stage of their professional journey,” said U.S. News’ Vice President of Careers, Carly Chase. “From upward mobility to a positive work environment, this list helps those seeking a career in law decide which law firm is the best fit for what’s most important to them and their career goals.”

Methodology:
To calculate the U.S. News Best Companies to Work For: Law Firms list, U.S. News partnered with Leopard Solutions, a SurePoint company, and Revelio Labs, which gathered relevant data, including employee sentiment and legal market research, to calculate the six metrics used in the list. Only companies that are included in Leopard Solutions’ database were considered for the list. Additionally, each company had to have a minimum of 10 U.S.-based Glassdoor reviews that included written comments and star ratings between 2020-2023. For further details on how the metric scores were calculated, see the methodology.
