Benesch Welcomes Eight Associates to the Firm

As Benesch continues to grow its national presence, the firm has announced the hiring of eight associates.  

Benesch is pleased to welcome Marissa Atterholt, Amanda Bulot, Kaitlyn Heintzelman, Nick Lacey, Patrick Lipaj, Julia Rolniak, Luis Vargas and Jaquan Williams.

Marissa Atterholt is a general practice associate based in Cleveland and served as a summer associate with Benesch in 2019. Prior to serving as a summer associate at Benesch, Marissa gained experience as a part-time law clerk at Niekamp, Weisensell, Mutersbaugh & Mastrantonio, LLP, as a part-time administrative assistant at The Primary Health Network, as well as an intern at Ekker, Kuster, McCall & Epstein, LLP. She received her B.S. from Westminster College and her J.D. from University of Akron School of Law.

Amanda Bulot is a general practice associate based in Chicago and served as a summer associate with Benesch in 2019. Prior to her time as a summer associate at Benesch, Amanda served as a law clerk at Murphy Law Group LLC. She received her undergraduate degree from Texas Christian University and her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.

Kaitlyn Heintzelman is a general practice associate based in Cleveland and served as a summer associate with Benesch in 2019. Prior to becoming an attorney, Kaitlyn worked in hospital supply chain for 10 years in both the New York and Cleveland markets. She worked as a contract specialist at The MetroHealth System, as a senior contract analyst at Summa Health, as well as a contract manager for The Greater New York Hospital Association. She received her B.S. from Ohio University and her J.D. from Cleveland State University – Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.

Nick Lacey is an associate in Benesch’s Litigation Practice Group based in Columbus and served as a summer associate with Benesch in 2019. Prior to joining Benesch as a summer associate, Nick gained experience as a legal extern for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and as a legal intern for the Ohio Industrial Commission. He received his B.A. from Wright State University and his J.D. from Capital University Law School.

Patrick Lipaj is an associate in Benesch’s Litigation Practice Group based in Cleveland and served as a summer associate with Benesch in 2019. Since serving as a summer associate, Pat has also gained experience as a judicial extern for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio as well as a law clerk at a small business law firm. He earned his B.S.B.A. from The Ohio State University and his J.D. from Cleveland State University – Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.

Julia Rolniak is an associate in the firm’s Tax Practice Group based in Chicago and served as a summer associate with Benesch in 2019. Upon completion of her summer associateship with Benesch, she transitioned into a law clerk role in our Chicago office. Julia received her B.A. from Purdue University and her J.D. from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law.

Luis Vargas is an associate in the firm’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group based in Chicago and focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions. Prior to joining Benesch, Luis was a corporate associate at Baker McKenzie LLP in Chicago. He received his B.S. and Master of Accounting (MAcc) from The Ohio State University and his J.D. from University of Notre Dame Law School.

Jaquan Williams is an associate in Benesch’s Litigation Practice Group based in Cleveland and served as a summer associate with Benesch in 2019. In addition to serving as a summer associate at Benesch in 2019, Jaquan has also gained experience as a judicial extern for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, as a summer associate for Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP, as a law clerk for the Erie County District Attorney’s Office and most recently as a judicial law clerk for the Supreme Court of Ohio. He received his B.S. from Mercyhurst University and his J.D. from University of Akron School of Law.
