J. Erik Connolly, Partner and Managing Chair of Benesch’s Litigation Practice Group, was featured in an LA Times article discussing the ongoing high-stakes defamation lawsuit involving client Smartmatic and Newsmax. The trial begins September 30th in Delaware.
In the article, Erik, who represents Smartmatic, said that Newsmax repeatedly and intentionally spread false information about the company.
“This trial will allow the American judicial process to finally hold Newsmax accountable for knowingly peddling lies about Smartmatic,” he was quoted as saying.
