Jonathan Todd Quoted in MedCity News on Pharmaceutical Tariffs
July 23, 2025
Jonathan Todd, Vice Chair of Benesch’s Transportation & Logistics Practice Group, was quoted in MedCity News discussing the legal and policy implications of the Trump administration’s proposed pharmaceutical tariffs.
Todd addressed the growing tension between new tariff plans and longstanding trade agreements like the WTO Pharma Agreement, noting the evolving legal framework under which the administration is operating.

He also pointed to the Department of Commerce’s ongoing Section 232 investigation as a key mechanism for advancing the administration’s America-first trade strategy.
