Marc Blubaugh quoted in Law360 | “Trump DOT Pick Puts Highway, Road Rebuilds Back In Focus”
November 20, 2024
Marc Blubaugh, Co-Chair of Benesch’s Transportation & Logistics Practice Group, was quoted in the Law360 article “Trump DOT Pick Puts Highway, Road Rebuilds Back In Focus.”
Marc said, “Former Congressman Duffy strikes me as a sound and measured choice for secretary of the U.S. DOT.” He noted that Duffy has a good grasp of the importance of transportation infrastructure, having been involved in significant projects in his home state. Marc added, “That expectation naturally dovetails with the incoming president’s bullishness on enhancing domestic infrastructure, as he expressed in his prior administration, including a focus on what might be characterized as ‘traditional’ infrastructure projects instead of projects that are more aspirational in nature.” However, Marc pointed out that the specific emphasis in the grant-making process, whether it be highways, airports, ports, or intermodal connectors, remains unknown.
