Michael emphasized that the EU’s latest proposal underscores the ongoing volatility of the regulatory landscape. “The terrain in the EU is just going to be changing yet again. In some ways, it may be for the better. In some ways not,” he said, noting that companies value predictability as much as efficiency. Michael added that the proposal signals continued uncertainty for businesses navigating EU digital laws: “What this proposal indicates for certain is that the field is going to remain in flux.”
