Benesch is pleased to announce that Daniel J. Cianchetta and Michael S. Weinstein have joined the firm’s Cleveland office.
Daniel Cianchetta is an experienced labor attorney and focuses on litigating employment discrimination, retaliation, wrongful discharge, wage and hour, and accommodation cases. Dan has represented employers before administrative agencies, federal courts, and state courts. Dan also counsels local, national, and international clients on state and federal compliance issues and a wide range of employment matters including manuals and employment policies, FLSA, FMLA, Title VII, and WARN Act administration and compliance, corresponding state statutes and regulations, wage and hour questions, employee conduct policies, employee discipline and termination, and management best practices.
Dan received his J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2012 and his B.A., cum laude, in History, Philosophy and Political Sciencefrom Syracuse University in 2009.
Michael Weinstein is an intellectual property attorney and has significant experience litigating complex intellectual property matters in federal district courts nationwide and in inter parties review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. He has represented clients in a variety of different fields, including pharmaceuticals, chemical compositions, consumer products, medical devices, automotive components, and software and semiconductor technology.
Michael also has experience with all phases of patent litigation, including prelitigation investigations, discovery, motions practice, fact and expert depositions and testimony, claim construction, summary judgment, trials, and appeals in the United States Court of Appeal for the Federal Circuit. He also has experience in all phases of inter partes review proceedings, including drafting petitions and patent owner responses, expert depositions, and oral hearings.
Michael received his J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2008 and his B.S. in Chemical Engineering, cum laude, from the University of Cincinnati in 2005.
