The Real Deal Highlights Benesch’s Miami Expansion and Addition of 20-Lawyer Real Estate Finance Team

The Real Deal recently highlighted Benesch’s continued national growth through the launch of its new Miami office and the addition of a 20-lawyer real estate finance team from Reed Smith. The strategic expansion increases the firm’s national real estate team from 65 to 85 attorneys and further strengthens Benesch’s Real Estate Practice Group.

The incoming team brings significant experience in commercial real estate finance, secondary market transactions, securitization, and lending matters. The group is led by Partners Jodi Schwimmer and Randy Eckers, both recognized leaders in the real estate finance space. Schwimmer previously served as global co-lead of Reed Smith’s Financial Industry Group, while Eckers brings more than 25 years of experience advising clients on complex real estate finance transactions.

The move marks a significant milestone for Benesch as the firm expands its presence in key markets and enhances its capabilities to serve clients across the full spectrum of real estate and structured finance matters. The new Miami office further extends Benesch’s national platform and reinforces the firm’s commitment to strategic growth in high-demand practice areas.
