Benesch represented Wilderness Trail Distillery, a premium artisan distillery, in its sale to Campari, a Milan-based Italian Spirits group. Campari reached an agreement to buy an initial 70% stake in Wilderness Trail Distillery for $420 million. The deal is being executed on a cash-free, debt-free basis, meaning Kentucky-based Wilderness Trail Distillery Ltd. will clear its debts and keep excess cash before the completion of the deal.
The Benesch team was led by Michael F. Marhofer, Michael J. Mozes, Lisa M. Kimmel, Mark Larsen, Cheryl Donahue, George Stowe, Connie A. Porter, Richard F. Tracanna, Julie R. Fenstermaker and Nicole K. Kline.
