Overview

Andrea represents clients in a broad range of complex commercial litigation disputes in federal and state courts across the country, including breach of contract matters, defamation, employment disputes, and white collar and government investigations. In her practice, Andrea maintains a focus on defamation law and reputation management, representing tech companies, high-profile individuals, and businesses facing reputational risk stemming from false, damaging statements in the media and elsewhere.  With an eye toward careful public positioning for her clients, Andrea litigates with relentless dedication to uncovering the truth, enabling clients to vindicate their reputations and set the record straight.

Currently, Andrea is part of  the team representing a global voting machine company in its $2.7 billion lawsuit against Fox News stemming from defamatory statements made about the company after the 2020 U.S. Presidential election.

Andrea also maintains an active pro bono practice, having represented incarcerated individuals in § 1983 cases for violations of constitutional rights, and refugees fleeing violence in other nations seeking asylum in the United States.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Andrea worked in finance at a national bank and collaborated with regulators and in-house counsel to satisfy post-financial crisis regulatory requirements for large banks. While there, she gained firsthand insight into the realities and pressures faced by businesses and in-house legal teams. That experience has enabled her to approach litigation with a commercial mindset – focusing not just on risk mitigation, but on understanding clients’ unique concerns. Clients value her ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and help craft solutions that support their financial and strategic objectives. Andrea’s working style is marked by clear communication and a cautious approach. She has been described by peers as a strong analytical writer, an effective communicator, and a trusted team player.

Andrea currently serves as an adjunct professor for the moot court program at Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
