Overview

Douglas DiMedio advises private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, as well as other privately-held businesses, on complex strategic transactions. He guides clients across a broad range of industries through acquisitions, divestitures, minority and growth equity investments, equity financings, joint ventures, corporate restructurings and general corporate governance matters.

Prior to joining Benesch, Douglas was a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He also established and subsequently managed the manufacturing division of a building material supply company. Then, he moved to New York City and founded his own business in the building materials industry, ultimately exiting to obtain a law degree and a master’s degree in business administration.
