Overview

Emily has represented clients across a variety of industries, including technology, healthcare and retail services. Her broad range of industry experience reflects her ability to handle high-stakes, complex litigation when it matters most for clients.

White collar defense and government investigations require a detail-oriented approach and expedient resolution. Emily’s practice is focused on healthcare investigations, with experience conducting internal investigations, investigating Medicare compliance and defending against federal False Claims Act and anti-kickback statute litigation.

Emily’s civil litigation work includes breach of contract disputes, trade secret misappropriation, class action defense and intellectual property litigation. Whether defending claims of non-performance or protecting client’s proprietary information, she has experience through all phases of litigation, from drafting pleadings to completing arbitration hearings and briefs.

Emily earned her law degree from the University of Illinois College of Law. There, she began her work in the Immigration Law Clinic – representing clients seeking asylum and family-based petitions for status. Emily’s commitment to service remains at the heart of her pro bono practice, representing individuals seeking legal status in the United States, through asylum petitions and VAWA claims.
