Overview
Kelly’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, wrongful death and personal injury defense, as well as transportation and logistics-related claims. She regularly argues in trial and appellate courts across the country.
In addition to her litigation practice, Kelly specializes in federal licensing and compliance of motor carriers, brokers, and freight forwarders. She has experience in obtaining initial federal licenses, reinstatements, voluntary revocations, consolidations, and transfers of federal transportation authority.
Kelly regularly works with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (“FMCSA”) in Washington D.C., as well as with various FMCSA field offices around the country and in Canada. Kelly is a member of the Transportation Lawyers Association’s Committee on Federal Legislation, Agency Practice and Security, which focuses on reviewing pending bills related to federal transportation regulations and practices and the adjudications and rulemaking of transportation-related agencies.
Additionally, Kelly has significant experience in the administrative hearing process, focusing particularly on Ohio workers’ compensation.
