Overview
Lion represents clients in a broad range of complex commercial litigation disputes in federal and state courts, including securities and fraud claims, fiduciary duty and shareholder disputes and contract and business tort matters. He works with companies, investment funds, founders, executives and individuals across a variety of industries, including financial services, technology, energy, entertainment, healthcare services and real estate. His experience involves representing both plaintiffs and defendants in all phases of litigation, including pre-suit investigations, motion practice, discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, trial preparation and trial. In addition to his commercial litigation practice, Lion has significant experience with construction disputes, representing owners and developers, contractors, suppliers, engineers and other members of the construction industry in complex litigation. He handles all types of claims, including those involving construction and design defects, project delays, payment disputes, breach of contract and related property damage.
Before joining Benesch, Lion was an associate at a highly regarded construction law firm in New York. He has also served as a law clerk in the New Jersey Superior Court, where Lion handled incoming motions, assisted with trials, and prepared decisions and opinions, gaining valuable insight into how courts evaluate and decide cases.
