Overview

Maura is a dedicated litigator who represents businesses in high-stakes disputes, helping them protect their rights and navigate complex legal challenges. Known for her open-minded and empathetic approach, Maura is willing to explore creative, unconventional solutions to achieve the best outcomes for her clients—even when the path forward is difficult or requires significant effort.

Maura’s practice focuses on both initiating and defending litigation. She frequently represents businesses as plaintiffs in cases involving breach of contract, defamation, trade secret misappropriation and other critical disputes where court intervention is necessary to protect their interests. On the defense side, she has significant experience fending off unfair or frivolous class actions. Her clients span a variety of industries, with a particular focus on the technology sector.

Maura’s ability to deliver exceptional results is grounded in her meticulous attention to detail, relentless work ethic and adaptability. She is known for maintaining open and frequent communication with her clients, ensuring they are informed and supported at every stage of the litigation process. Her background in internal investigations further enhances her ability to gather critical information and build strong, well-documented cases.

Maura’s legal experience is informed by unique opportunities early in her career, including externships with the Hawaii Supreme Court and the City of Chicago Department of Law. These experiences provided her with valuable insights into judicial decision-making and local government operations, which she leverages to her clients’ advantage.

Maura is also deeply committed to pro bono work, focusing on Section 1983 civil rights cases and representing clients through the Jewish United Fund (JUF). She serves on the JUF Young Lawyers Division Board and is actively involved in firm initiatives, including the Hiring Committee, the Associate Development Committee and the Women’s Mentoring Subcommittee of WIN.
