Megan Mehalko Named Woman in Transactions Deal Maker Award Winner by ACG Cleveland, Two Benesch Clients Also Recognized

Benesch is pleased to announce that Partner Megan Mehalko has been selected as the Woman in Transactions Deal Maker Award winner by ACG Cleveland. This award honors outstanding female business leaders who demonstrate exceptional leadership within their companies and the M&A deal-making community. In addition, two Benesch clients received awards: Bridge Industries was named the Buyout Deal Maker winner, while Transtar was selected for Corporate Deal Maker.

The 28th Deal Maker Awards, presented by ACG Cleveland, recognize significant achievements in merger and acquisition activity in Northeast Ohio. As ACG Cleveland’s signature networking event, these awards highlight successful corporate growth through acquisitions, joint ventures and divestitures over the past two years.

Megan, co-chair of Benesch’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, excels in corporate governance and securities law. She advises public companies, private equity funds and their portfolio companies on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and more.

Megan has deep experience across industries, including plastics, healthcare devices and consumer products. She is actively involved in Benesch’s Public Company Practice, Private Equity Group and Polymer Industry Team, and in serving on the Professional Development and Finance Committees.

Recognized for her achievements, Megan has been named a Leading Lawyer by Chambers USA since 2010 and was a Distinguished Nominee of Global M&A Network’s Women U.S.A. Leaders & Top Dealmakers in M&A in 2020. She has been listed in Best Lawyers in America for 14 years in Corporate Law, Securities/Capital Markets Law, and Securities Regulation.

The award winners will be recognized at the 28th Deal Maker Awards event on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the Hotel Cleveland from 5 – 7:30 p.m. EST.
