Benesch Welcomes Caitlin Kovacs as Partner in Litigation Practice Group

As Benesch continues to add to its roster of top-notch legal talent, the firm is pleased to welcome Partner Caitlin Kovacs to the Litigation Team in Chicago.

An experienced complex commercial litigator, Caitlin has helped her clients win bet-the-company cases in both state and federal courts involving disputes of all kinds, including breach of contract, fraud, business torts, defamation, white collar, products liability, restructuring, False Claims Act, antitrust, and tax.

Caitlin’s clients span a wide range of industries and include Fortune 100 financial institutions, retail institutions, chemical companies, and technology companies. She has been described by her clients as a “very, very formidable attorney” possessing “extremely persuasive” and “terrific” writing skills, and jurors have praised her as an “excellent” presenter whose style is “confident,” “detailed yet simple to understand,” and “just the right amount of everything.”

Caitlin earned her J.D. cum laude from Northwestern University School of Law, where she served as the Executive Articles Editor for the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology. Caitlin graduated cum laude from Northwestern University in 2007 with a B.A. in Economics and English Literature.

She is admitted to practice law in Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Her exceptional contributions to the legal field were recognized when she was named to Benchmark’s prestigious 40 & Under Hot List in 2022.
