Benesch Retail & E-Commerce Practice Group Chair Stephanie Sheridan was featured in the Los Angeles Times Beauty, Fashion & Consumer Goods Roundtable. In the piece, she shared her insights on the current business outlook for the industries, noting that “affordable brands are expanding faster than luxury labels as consumers seek value without sacrificing quality.” 

She also pointed to increasing legal scrutiny of sustainability claims, packaging compliance and cosmetics oversight under the FDA’s Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act, emphasizing that “companies that make compliance part of their brand identity will continue to find a competitive edge.” 

She also highlighted Los Angeles’ role as a hub for celebrity- and influencer-driven beauty brands, where investors and regulators now expect robust product testing, safety documentation and supply-chain transparency.
