Overview

Amanda Gottlieb represents private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in domestic and international multimillion and billion-dollar strategic transactions, guiding clients through complex legal and commercial issues at pivotal moments for their businesses.

She has extensive experience structuring, negotiating and executing mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, minority investments, joint ventures and corporate reorganizations. Amanda also advises sponsors, boards of directors and executive management teams on day-to-day corporate governance, compliance, capitalization and contractual matters. Her practice spans a wide range of industries, including consumer products, healthcare, industrials, business services, government services and technology.

In her pro bono practice, Amanda advises clients on family court matters through the NYC Family Court Volunteer Attorney Program, assists nonprofits in obtaining 501(c)(3) status, and helps individuals with naturalization applications.

Prior to joining Benesch, Amanda was a partner at Kirkland & Ellis.
