Overview
Kaitlyn is a real estate attorney, focusing her practice on property acquisitions and dispositions. She has experience drafting transactional documents and conducting due diligence for both buy-side and sell-side real estate transactions, as well as large real estate loan portfolios.
Prior to joining Benesch, Kaitlyn served as an extern at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, where she gained experience drafting contracts for both employment and real estate transactions, including non-compete compliance and land assignments. She also completed an externship with Honorable Judge Eve Reilly in the Cook Country Chancery Court, where she prepared bench memoranda for judicial hearings and attended court proceedings.

What I Do
Experience
Represented a large private credit lender on two loan facilities totaling $197.5 million, secured by 59 properties across more than 20 states. Benesch served as co-counsel, leading all diligence efforts and handling recordable loan documents and opinion workstreams.
Represented Honeywell in the spin-off of its Advanced Materials business, now operating as Solstice Advanced Materials, including leading the separation workstream and contract analysis to establish Solstice as an independent, publicly traded company and supporting Honeywell’s strategic transformation into three distinct industry-leading businesses.
