Kaitlyn has hands-on experience across litigation, transactional and regulatory matters. Her work includes researching sophisticated legal issues in high-profile disputes, drafting analytical memoranda for partners and associates, and preparing operating agreements and other transactional documents related to mergers and acquisitions. Kaitlyn also gained exposure to client counseling by shadowing meetings with high-net-worth individuals and corporate decision-makers.
In addition, Kaitlyn has gained legal experience through two externships. Most recently, she served as a Chancery Division Extern at the Cook County District Court, drafting bench memoranda and observing judicial proceedings under the Honorable Judge Eve Reilly. She previously supported healthcare regulatory compliance and contract drafting as a Spring Legal Extern with the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. Kaitlyn also worked as a Law Clerk at Lake Toback DiDomenico, where she drafted pleadings and conducted legal research for complex family law matters to assist with case strategy.
Represented Honeywell in the spin-off of its Advanced Materials business, now operating as Solstice Advanced Materials, including leading the separation workstream and contract analysis to establish Solstice as an independent, publicly traded company and supporting Honeywell’s strategic transformation into three distinct industry-leading businesses.
