Overview
Peter is an associate in Benesch’s Corporate Practice Group and focuses his practice on representing private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, as well as public and privately held companies, in a wide range of complex corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, add-on acquisitions, and other strategic transactions across diverse industries. He also advises privately held companies on general corporate and transactional matters, including restructurings, corporate governance, and general day-to-day corporate law matters.
Prior to joining Benesch, Peter externed for the Hon. Judge J. Philip Calabrese at the United States District Court, Northern District of Ohio, gaining significant experience in performing various legal research and writing tasks, including authoring draft judicial opinions. Peter also served as an extern in the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney’s Office, drafting substantive trial briefs, motions, and memorandums on behalf of the U.S. government, as well as assisting federal prosecutors and the Cleveland FBI with trial and witness preparation.
Peter earned his law degree, magna cum laude, from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and is licensed to practice in Ohio and Florida.

Represented private equity sponsored commercial access solutions platform in its execution of multiple add-on acquisitions of companies focused on overhead and automatic doors, access control systems, video surveillance and security-system integration across the United States.
Represented private equity sponsored provider of roof replacement, repair and other exterior home services in its acquisition of a Texas-based roofing and residential home services platform.
Represented Allstates WorldCargo, a leading provider of customized, expedited domestic logistics solutions and a portfolio company of Clarendon Capital, in its acquisition of EliteXPO, a Chicago based tradeshow logistics company specializing in end to end support for exhibitors.
Represented Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., LPA, in its strategic acquisition of Nathan & Nathan, P.C., a Southeast-based law firm.
Represented Weltman, Weinberg, & Reis, Co., LPA, an Ohio based law firm, in its strategic acquisition of Hodges, Avrutis, & Foeller, a creditors rights and collections law firm based in Sarasota, Florida.
Represented Madison Concept Tool, LLC, an affiliate of Royer Corporation, in its acquisition of Concept Tool & Engineering, Inc., a leading distributor of machine tools, metrology equipment, and additive manufacturing equipment.
Represented Kenan Advantage Group, the largest tank truck transporter and logistics provider in North America, in its acquisition of Xcel Bulk Logistics, a dry bulk transportation and logistics company based in Texas, from Lilium Group.
Represented Qualus Power Services, a portfolio company of New Mountain Capital, in its acquisition of The Asset Company, PLLC (d/b/a ASSET Engineering), a provider of specialized engineering services to utilities, renewable and energy storage developers, and industrial clients throughout the United States.
Represented Weinberg Capital Group and its platform company, Salt River Aviation, LLC, in its add-on acquisition of Phoenix Aviation Services, LLC d/b/a Aviocraft, a premier maintenance, repair and overhaul (“MRO”) provider specializing in batteries, chargers, communication devices, galley, relays and other aircraft accessories.
Represented Weinberg Capital Group, in its acquisition of Salt River Aviation, LLC, a niche provider of Auxiliary Power Units, APU teardown and disassembly services, APU Subcomponents and other airframe parts and components, targeting some of the largest commercial aircraft platforms today, including the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 families.
Represented Qualus Power Services, a portfolio company of New Mountain Capital, in its acquisition of Ferreira Power Group, a specialized power engineering firm providing distribution palling and design, grid hardening, and program management for utility providers.
