Paul focuses his practice on corporate and securities law with a particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions. He regularly works with private equity funds advising on acquisitions and divestments of portfolio company interests, joint ventures, debt and equity fundraising and corporate governance. He has represented both emerging and Fortune 500 companies in public and private deals.
With a mindset focused on business and economics, Paul takes great pride in deals where he has led clients to break ground on novel issues in complex and demanding transactions.
Paul has substantial experience representing funds, issuers, underwriters, initial purchasers and dealers in a myriad of transactions including initial public offerings, exchange offers, tender offers, 144A notes and registered bond offerings, convertible notes offerings, at-the-market programs, block trades, spin-offs, series financings and cross-border mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Benesch, Paul was a former Big Law attorney and he draws from his in-house experience at investment funds. Prior to law school, he was a Big Four CPA and worked at an energy-focused international private equity fund.
