Timothy has over 10 years of complex commercial litigation experience.
During that time, Timothy has represented public and private companies, as well as individuals, in a wide array of litigation including products liability, class actions, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, data theft, employment disputes, and contested corporate restructurings. In addition, Tim has defended companies and individuals subject to civil and criminal investigations brought by the SEC, DOJ, and various state Attorneys General.
In his first year of practice, Tim clerked for the Honorable Joe Billy McDade at the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois.
Representative Experience
- Achieved a significant summary judgment decision for election technology company Smartmatic in its defamation case against MyPillow and Mike Lindell. The Court found Lindell’s accusations were false and defamatory per se and that MyPillow was vicariously liable for their publication. The ruling also found injunctive relief was appropriate pursuant to the Minnesota Deceptive Trade Practices Act. The case will be proceeding to trial in Minnesota Federal Court in 2026.

Represented prisoner in his appeal before the Seventh Circuit after the district court dismissed the case on summary judgment. Following oral argument, the Seventh Circuit issued a complete reversal and remanded the decision in favor of our client on the ground that he was unable to exhaust his administrative remedies due to failures by the prison staff and administration.
