Bench trial in federal bankruptcy court (September 2025). Alyssa was trial counsel for the Professional Bull Riders in a contested matter against Dr. Phillip C. McGraw (better known as Dr. Phil, the TV personality) and his media company, Merit Street Media, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Seeking to recover nine-figures in connection with a media rights deal, the Professional Bull Riders was the largest creditor and sought to convert the case to Chapter 7. Alyssa cross-examined Merit Street’s Chief Operating Officer and elicited key testimony that was incorporated into the Court’s order. After the bench trial concluded, the Court found in the Professional Bull Riders’ favor and converted the case to Chapter 7.
