Overview

Patrick is a trusted business advisor to private equity funds and their portfolio companies, guiding them through a broad range of complex corporate transactions, including platform acquisitions, add-ons, mergers, recapitalizations, joint ventures, and carveouts.

His experience spans cross-border deals across multiple jurisdictions and industries, including business and professional services, consumer goods, healthcare and life sciences, industrials and manufacturing, software and technology, energy, and retail. Patrick regularly drafts and negotiates primary transaction documents, leads due diligence, and advises on general corporate governance matters, including entity formation, officer certificates, governmental filings, and board and shareholder resolutions.

Patrick is fueled by the challenges that keep his clients up at night and takes pride in supporting their businesses as they grow and evolve. He is thoughtful about the bigger picture and recognizes that successful outcomes depend on both immediate wins and long-term positioning. Clients value his proactive approach and wide-lens perspective, coupled with his ability to efficiently push deals over the finish line.

Patrick maintains a robust pro bono practice, advising entrepreneurs on the formation and governance of nonprofit organizations. He is also involved with the NewRoot Foundation, providing mentorship and career counseling to underprivileged students in the Chicago area.
