Benesch Announces Sixteen New Partners for 2026

Benesch is pleased to announce the promotion of sixteen attorneys to the firm’s partnership, effective January 1, 2026. The newly elected partners include Aan Amin, Samantha Barbara, Patrick Beisell, Kristopher Chandler, Thomas DaMario, Michael Fisher, Holly Gross, Cameron Hilling, Kevin Kiley, Sam Mintzer, Alex Moss, Philip Nester, Nesko Radovic, Nathan Sargent, Noelle Torrice and James Walsh.

This year’s partner class reflects Benesch’s continued investment in developing exceptional legal talent and building the firm’s next generation of leaders. Representing five of the firm’s offices and six practice areas, the new partners have demonstrated a strong commitment to client service, collaboration and the firm’s long-term growth.

Aan Amin, Corporate, New York

Aan advises private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, and public and privately held companies on a wide range of corporate transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, joint ventures, equity financings and restructurings.

Samantha Barbara, Corporate, Cleveland

Samantha advises public and privately held companies, private equity funds and founders on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and corporate governance matters. Her experience spans buy- and sell-side transactions, IPOs, carve-outs and other strategic transactions.

Patrick Beisell, Litigation, Chicago

Patrick is an experienced litigator who represents Fortune 100 companies and other clients in complex commercial disputes, class actions, multidistrict litigation and internal investigations. He has litigated matters nationwide in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration and on appeal.

Kristopher Chandler, Intellectual Property, Columbus

Kris focuses his practice on technology transactions, data security and privacy, and intellectual property matters, advising companies on the protection and commercialization of technology assets. He also serves as Chair of Benesch’s AI Commission.

Thomas DaMario, Intellectual Property, Chicago

Thomas focuses his practice on complex intellectual property litigation and transactions, with a particular focus on patent infringement and trademark matters before district courts, the International Trade Commission, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. He also advises on intellectual property issues arising in mergers, acquisitions and other strategic transactions.

Michael Fisher, Corporate, Columbus

Mike advises public and privately held companies on a broad range of corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, minority investments, asset and stock acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, and other strategic matters. He also provides counsel on corporate governance, Exchange Act reporting, stock exchange compliance and regulatory matters.

Holly Gross, Litigation, Columbus

Holly advises clients on navigating complex legislative, regulatory and policymaking environments at the local, state and federal levels. Her experience includes government enforcement actions, licensure, procurement and contracting, grantmaking, drafting legislation, and political and lobbying activity compliance.

Cameron Hilling, Healthcare, Cleveland

Cam focuses his practice on healthcare business transactions, advising clients on a broad range of transactional and corporate matters, including real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development, financing, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance.

Kevin Kiley, Real Estate, New York

Kevin represents clients in complex commercial real estate transactions, with a focus on real estate finance. His experience includes advising lenders and investors on mortgage and mezzanine debt, construction financing, preferred equity investments, joint ventures, and related debt capital markets matters.

Sam Mintzer, Real Estate, Cleveland

Sam focuses his practice on commercial real estate matters, including the acquisition and disposition of assets across a range of asset classes. He also represents borrowers, lenders and landlords in real estate transactions and leasing matters involving retail and industrial properties.

Alex Moss, Corporate, Chicago

Alex focuses his practice on private equity investments and mergers and acquisitions. His experience also includes minority investments, co-investments, equity financings, and related corporate governance and commercial contract matters.

Philip Nester, Litigation, Cleveland

Phil focuses his practice on transportation services and supply chain matters, advising manufacturers, distributors, retailers, carriers and logistics providers on regulatory compliance, contracts, litigation, enforcement and related disputes across all modes of transportation, with particular experience in ocean transportation and maritime matters.

Nesko Radovic, Healthcare, Chicago

Nesko advises clients in the healthcare and life sciences industries on regulatory, compliance and corporate matters. His experience includes mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and value-based arrangements, as well as counseling on day-to-day operations.

Nathan Sargent, Healthcare, Cleveland

Nathan focuses his practice on healthcare business transactions and regulatory matters, including mergers and acquisitions, contracting, licensure, and Medicare and Medicaid enrollment and reimbursement. He also advises on corporate governance matters.

Noelle Torrice, Restructuring & Bankruptcy, Wilmington

Noelle focuses her practice on bankruptcy and creditors’ rights matters, representing businesses and individuals in insolvency-related disputes and proceedings. She also has experience handling complex commercial litigation, including contract disputes, business torts and trade secret misappropriation.

James Walsh, Litigation, Cleveland 

James is a business litigator who represents clients in complex commercial matters before federal and state courts, arbitral tribunals, and regulatory and administrative agencies. He also advises closely held businesses on governance disputes, mergers and acquisitions, and other significant corporate matters.
